I was born in Massamá on August 19, 1999, and football has always been a part of who I am. I started at Real Massamá in 2009 and, in 2010, I joined Benfica’s youth academy, where I grew both as a player and as a person. Throughout my journey, I’ve played in some of the main leagues within the Big 5, with experiences at Monaco (Ligue 1), Getafe (La Liga), and now Burnley in the Premier League. I give everything in every stage to stay at the highest level.
Football has given me moments I will never forget. Over the course of my career, I’ve won 6 titles in Portugal, including two Portuguese Leagues. With the national youth teams, I represented Portugal 84 times and won two European Championships, at U17 and U19 level — achievements I carry with great pride. I’ve played 5 seasons in the Champions League and, this year, I had the opportunity to make my debut in the best league in the world, the Premier League, where I now represent a historic club: Burnley.
Preparation is the key to giving my best in every game. I dedicate myself to intense physical training and physiotherapy sessions because I know every detail matters. Success on the pitch is built behind the scenes, and every moment of work is a chance to push myself further. I give everything to stay in top shape and ready for any challenge.
How it all began! In this video, I tell a bit of my life story, my origins, and what led me to be who I am today. More Than a Player is a project that started in Getafe and that I intend to continue in the coming months to show a more personal side that I've never shown you before.
My family is my foundation. From them I learned everything I need about respect, love, and gratitude. They are with me through thick and thin, in victories and defeats, joys and sorrows. They are my greatest treasure and my greatest love.
My faith is my guide. It gives me hope, confidence, and courage. It connects me with God, with the universe, and with my essence. It is my shield and my inspiration.
My football is my art. It allows me to express myself, have fun, and move people. It challenges and motivates me. It inspires and transforms. It is my work and my fuel.
In family, a home.
In faith, a light.
And in football, a legacy.
